Stone’s Chapel, June 2015

The annual Stone’s Chapel Fall Gathering and Open House will be on Saturday, September 26, 2015.  The Fall Gathering will begin with a short program featuring a musical performance entitled “From Slavery to Civil Rights” by Bill Johnston and remarks by author Arthur Pope at 11:00am. Mr. Pope’s recent book, “Carry Me Back: An American Journey in Time and Place,” examines family legends of 19th and early 20th century Clarke County. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.

Following the program, the Fall Gathering will continue with a covered dish luncheon. The Memorial Association will provide meat and beverages. Everyone else is invited to bring a side dish, salad or dessert to share.

Save the Date! The 2nd annual Candlelight Christmas Service at Stone’s Chapel will be on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at 6:00pm.
